Blood Thinner List
*Please do not stop taking your medications without speaking to your doctor or a nurse*
The following meds are blood thinners and should be stopped prior to your surgery as directed by the prescribing physician:

Plavix (Clopidogrel)

Eliquis (Apixaban)

Xarelto (Rivaroxaban)

Pradaxa (Dabigatran)

Coumadin/ Jantoven (Warfarin)

Savaysa (Edoxaban)

Effient (Prasugrel)

Brilinta (Ticagrelor)
The following medications must be stopped 10 days prior to your surgery:

Aspirin, Aspirin products

Advil

Aleve

Ibuprofen

Motrin

Fish Oil
-
Vitamin E

Multivitamins
-
Omega
-
Lovaza
-
Ocuvite
-
Naproxen

Pepto Bismol

ALL NSAIDS (Celebrex, Meloxicam, Ketorolac, Etodolac, Arthrotec)
-
Must continue vitamins that are given for the treatment of anemia or that are given to counteract a diuretic.
